Job Brief:
We are looking for a portfolio manager to join the team. In this role, you will have direct responsibility for building out our managed fund offering and working to implement a venture capital investment strategy.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Caleb and Brown’s cryptocurrency asset investment thesis
- Support Caleb & Brown’s portfolio objectives
- Identify and research opportunities for new business development and investment with venture capital
- Liaise with startups and businesses to discover and source venture opportunities
- Create a portfolio-wide risk management strategy
- Manage and develop external relationships with stakeholders, including potential investors
- Construct a range of fund offerings from venture capital to broad cryptocurrency index tracking
- Present on asset allocations and markets both internally and to external clients
Requirements and skills
- Combination of experience in traditional financial markets and cryptocurrency
- Demonstrated experience in portfolio management and risk management
- In-depth understanding of crypto assets and crypto markets, ideally with 2 or more years experience professionally, or personally
- Held a senior position at a fund for a minimum of 2 years
- Ideally have an existing network in the crypto industry, or network who would be interested in the funds
- Strong leadership, quantitative, research and written communication skills
